STEP

Step Aerobics thrives as an ongoing fitness trend after being scientifically proven to strengthen the knee joint, firm the muscles of the hips, thighs and buttocks, improve bone density and lower cholesterol whilst increasing HDL cholesterol - the good cholesterol that helps us fight heart disease.  Step is a great cardiovascular workout and utilises the largest muscles in the body, making it a very efficient calorie burner.  With gravity being a downwards force, the “upward” nature of step, (followed by a step down and never a jump) means Step Aerobics is classed as a low impact form of exercise. Steps are adjustable and beginners can have a platform as little as 4” in height.


Step was Mr.J’s very first class back in January 1993. To this day it remains many people’s favourite and there are many participants who still attend to this very day, just as they did back in 1993.

All Step classes are 50 mins in duration.


CHOOSE THE STEP CLASS THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU
STEP (beginners) is a straight forward step class that is suitable for beginners, or those who prefer a good cardiovascular workout without any complex stepping patterns.

Easy / Moderate    Timetable>>

STEP (Intermediate/Advanced) is slightly faster and has a mixture of stepping patterns - some more complex than others - and is an ideal class for those wanting a more challenging Step class. Previous step experience is recommended.
